Description
This vase is as simple as a vase can be: one flowing, egg-shaped line without a separate neck or rim. The ribs do the rest. They run vertically from the base to the opening, sit close together and follow the curve of the shape exactly.
Why ribs work
A ribbed surface catches light and shadow in turn: each rib has a light side and a dark side. In daylight from the side, that gives the vase depth without any pattern or colour.
Styling
The narrow opening needs very little: a few stems of dried flowers or a single branch. In a minimalist interior it also looks good empty. Fresh flowers can go in a glass tube, not loose in the vase.
