The Solara is a round, straight vase with deep vertical grooves from base to shoulder, like a classical column. At the top it curves round into a short neck. In white it looks airy, in lead grey the shape gains more weight. For dried flowers, because water cannot go in.

Description
The Solara has straight, round sides with deep, vertical grooves. At the top, the grooves follow the rounded shoulder and end at a short neck. Because the grooves are deep, they create a strong rhythm of light and shadow, especially on a windowsill.
Grooves like a column
Vertical grooves in a column are called fluting. They already appear in classical Greek architecture, where they make a column look slimmer and lighter. On the Solara, they give a simple cylinder shape the same rhythm.
White or lead grey
White is light and airy and suits bright interiors. Lead grey is a dark, cool grey that gives the shape more weight. Fill the Solara with dried flowers; loose water does not go in, because the layers of a print let moisture through over time.
