Description
The Sintra is a slender bottle vase: a narrow neck, rounded shoulders and a body that tapers slightly towards the base. The top and bottom are smooth. Around the middle runs a wide band of wavy lines that interlock, so that it looks like braiding.
Calm from afar, rich up close
From a distance you mainly notice the simple bottle shape. Come closer and you see how the wavy lines wind around each other, each casting a different shadow. That is why the Sintra suits a spot you walk past often, such as a sideboard, a bookcase or a windowsill in the hall.
What goes in it
The Sintra is made for dry material. A single dry branch or a few plumes suit the narrow neck. If you do want fresh flowers, place a glass tube in the vase and fill only that tube with water.
